After the intervention of the Union Government, the Government of Gandaki Province, which immediately withdrew from the implementation of the Ride Sharing Regulations, has released the annual policy and program for the coming financial year, covering the issue of its regulation.
It is mentioned that ride-sharing will be effectively regulated and managed in the annual policy and program for the coming fiscal year 2082/83 presented by the state chief Dilliraj Bhatt in the meeting of the state assembly on Wednesday. The state government had postponed the Ride Sharing (Regulation and Management) Rules 2082 published in the gazette on May 1 for one month from Tuesday . The day after the regulation was postponed due to the pressure of public transportation businessmen, the government presented a stand that will not back down by including the regulation and management of ride sharing in its policies and programs.
Moreover, the plan to start printing and distribution of licenses by the state government in coordination with the union government has been announced.
