A concrete bridge has been constructed at a cost of more than 6 crores in Buldikhola connecting Beas Municipality-1 and 2 in Tanahun. Construction of concrete bridge was completed here four months before the agreement.
The contract for the bridge, estimated to cost 6 crore 56 lakh 43 thousand 272, was awarded for 6 crore 1 lakh 17 thousand 324. Bheshraj Tiwari, assistant administrative officer of the municipality, informed that 1 crore 35 lakhs was supported by the federal government for the construction of the bridge, and the remaining amount was from the municipality's sources.
on 23rd of February 2080, the bridge work was completed on 22nd of Baisakh. The deadline for completing the bridge is 30 August 2082. The twenty-five meter long bridge is of single span technology. The bridge was constructed by Jamalukhi Construction Pvt Ltd. After the construction of the bridge, the common people of the two wards will benefit.
At the place where the concrete bridge was built, traffic was being operated by placing a hump culvert. When the Buldikhola floods during the rainy season, the culvert blocks the flow of water, causing flooding in the surrounding area. Because of this, the nearby houses are at risk and it is going to be easier for those who have been having trouble going to the bus park.
Meanwhile, the completed bridge was publicly tested on Friday. Third party evaluation, on-site monitoring and public testing have been done in the project of Beas Municipality.
The program was attended by Vaikunth Neupane, Deputy Chief Indira Darai, Chairman of various wards, representatives of Toll Development Organization.
On this occasion, the bridge was monitored by the Municipal Monitoring and Evaluation Committee and the bridge was re-evaluated by Engineer Vijay Thapa of Infrastructure Development Office Tanahun.
