The search for copper mining has started in Tamankhola Rural Municipality-6 Narjakhani of Baglung. After the permission was given by the Department of Mines and Geology, the exploration started. There are copper mines in dozens of places in Tamankhola.

The copper mines there were in operation until 1981. They were closed after the government brought mining under the tax regime. The exploration of the mine has started after the Department of Mines and Geology gave permission for study and research till 14th October 2084.

At present, Wikplus Miner Pvt Ltd is searching for mines in different places of Narjakhani. Balram Karki, Geologist of Wikplus Minilar Pvt.

According to him, there will be three stages of research in this area. If good results are obtained from it, excavation can be done. Karki said that work is being done to complete the study of all three phases within the next one year. Now he is working in the field of energy and technology and is studying in a hurry.

"There are many stages of research, we are currently in the first stage of research, we call it 'geophysical survey', if it gives good results, we will do the second stage of test drilling, and then we will do the final drilling and if we get good results, we will excavate",  Geologist Karki said, "It takes 20 to 22 billion rupees to mine, we are trying to find out whether we can operate the mine with such a small investment."

There are many tunnels and remains of iron mines in Tamankhola, Narjakhani, Bharirivan and Patlegaon. Locals are happy when there is a study for the excavation of closed mines. Chairman of Tamankhola Rural Municipality-6, Chitra Chantyal, says that if Baubaje can excavate food mines, the standard of living of the villagers will improve.

He said, 'Our identity is connected with the mines here, the history of the people of our community is connected, even now there are dobes where copper was mined in hundreds of places in our village, we were able to extract copper from those mines, the living standards of the citizens of this area would change, if they were economically strong, the youth would get employment in the village.' President Budhamar said that the study of Tamankhani has been positive so far.
