17 projects are producing electricity in Lamjung, which is becoming a hydropower hub. A large number of projects are producing electricity from rivers such as Marsyangdi, Dordi, Midim, Ngadi, Syange, Khudi and other rivers in the district.
According to Meghnath Bhattarai, head of Lamjung Electricity Distribution Center, about 300 megawatts of electricity is produced from the number of projects produced in the district. According to the center, the largest number of hydroelectric power plants constructed in the district are 70 MW Madhya Marsyangdi Hydropower, 54 MW Super Dordi 'B', 50 MW Upper Marsyangdi, 30 MW Nyadi Hydropower, 27 MW Dordikhola, 25 MW Upper Dordi 'A', 12 MW Dordi-1, 7 MW Upper Midim, 5 MW Electricity is being produced from Siurikhola and 4.4 MW Randikhola projects.
Similarly, electricity is being produced from Khudikhola small hydropower projects of four megawatt capacity and Upper Chandikhola, three megawatt Midimkhola, 2.4 megawatt Upper Sayange Khola, two megawatt Chandikhola, 183 kilowatt Sayange micro hydro and 80 kilowatt Midim micro hydro. According to the center, there are 40 thousand 542 customers in
district. Office chief Bhattarai said that the central power line has reached most parts of the district except a few parts. According to him, two crore 39 lakh, eight thousand 925.90 units of electricity have been sold in the district from July to March of the current financial year.
19 crore 53 lakh 54 thousand has been raised from it. According to the Centre, 11 hydropower projects are under construction in the district. Among them, Marsyangdi Bensi 50 MW, Super Nyadi Hydro 40.27, Upper Khudi 21.21, Nyadi Fidi 21 MW, 13.424 from Midimkhola-1 project, Lower Nyadi with 12.6 MW capacity, Hidikhola with 6.82 MW capacity, Middle Midim with 4.8 MW capacity, Chepekhola Cascade with 2 MW capacity, 1.6 MW MW of Lodokhola small project and Lower Midim project with 0.996 MW capacity are under construction.
It is estimated that 2,500 megawatts of electricity can be produced in Lamjud.
