8 people trapped in Phewa Lake in Pokhara due to the storm have been rescued. SP Surya Timilsina, Head of Armed Police Force Nepal, No. 24 Gan Headquarters, Kalika, informed that 8 people who fell from the stand-up paddle board and were stranded in the lake during a sudden storm on Monday afternoon were rescued.

According to him, 6 of the 8 people were stranded in the middle of the lake while riding on the paddle board after the storm.

The remaining 2 people, Resham Thapa of Chitwan and Vijay Sunar of Kaski, were rescued when they fell into the lake, he said. A team of Armed Police Force and Nepal Army was deployed in the rescue.
