Basic hospital is incomplete due to lack of budget

The municipal level basic hospital under construction in Nisikhola of Baglung is incomplete. The hospital, which was supposed to be completed in January last year, is incomplete due to lack of budget.

For the construction of a 10-bed basic hospital under construction in Nisikhola rural municipality-4 Jhimpa, the work was started in January 2078 with an agreement.

The construction of the hospital, which was started at a cost of 80.24 million, was completed in the month of January 2080. But so far only 90 percent of the work has been completed, said Deepak Kumar Adai, head of Hinduung IS/AC JB.

If the municipality allocates the budget, he says that the work can be completed within two months. He said that the payment of the bill of 1 million 1 million submitted in August 2080 has not yet been made.

He said that there would be no problem in working if they could manage the remaining 11 million and 60 million from the municipality.  Chief Adai said that there was a problem in not getting the payment for working for a long time. He said that if the municipality had managed the budget, the hospital could have been completed last year.

President of Nisikhola Rural Municipality Surya Bahadur Ghartimagar said that the hospital is incomplete because the federal government did not send the budget. He said that since the internal resources of the rural municipality are low, they cannot allocate the budget for the hospital. President Gharti Magar said that he has requested the Ministry of Health to manage the necessary budget.
