To discourage deforestation, Meemsen Thapa Rural Municipality is going to give cash rewards to those who collect leaves. The executive meeting has decided to provide two rupees per kg.

Individuals within the rural municipality, village development organizations, youth clubs, women's groups, cooperative organizations, private firms and companies have also been requested to coordinate with the consumer committee of the respective community forests to collect leaves.

Chitra Bahadur Adhikari, the chief administrative officer of the rural municipality, said that the funds for the collection will be provided only after monitoring by the rural municipality.  "We will make organic fertilizer from collected leaves," he said.

There are 40 community forests in Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality. is from Patpatingar , if it is collected on time, there will be no fire,' he said, 'We have started this year as a model program, we will continue the program in the next year after learning this.'
