Baglung police have arrested two women on the charge of engaging girls in sex business.

The police arrested the woman from Burtiwang market of Dhorpatan Municipality Ward No. 1 on the charge of engaging in sex business.

Among those arrested, 40-year-old Pritima Vick of Tamankhola Rural Municipality-1 and 37-year-old Khimkumari Bomjan of Kailash Rural Municipality 9 of Makwanpur, who was operating Basant Restaurant and Sekuwa Corner in Burtiwang, were arrested by the police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Yadav said that they were arrested on Thursday. It has been revealed that they kept the 16-year-old girl in a hotel for 4 years and took money from the customer to engage in sex business. The police said that they also earned money from that. According to Suraki, the police conducted a raid and arrested him with evidence. The complaint of the victim and evidence that can be used in prostitution have also been seized. 

Yadav informed that the investigation has been started by extending the deadline for the accused under the Human Trafficking and Trafficking Control Act 2064. After the incident, the police have increased vigilance in other places of the same nature.
