Recently, the number of domestic and foreign tourists is increasing as the road network is gradually improving. The district's sacred religious pilgrimage sites, Muktinath Dham and Kagbeni Shraddhasthal, attract a large number of Nepali domestic tourists. Nepali tourists who entered the Mustang have visited Muktinath and reached Korlanaka, an autonomous region of northern China, which borders with Tibet.

Mustang is a religious and culturally diverse district and the attraction of its unique type of land has started to increase the number of tourists here every year. Tasinarbu Gurung, president of Lomanthang Rural Municipality, said that after the Korla road of national pride becomes easier, domestic tourists will reach Korlanaka. 

The district is becoming an important tourist destination due to the centuries-old monasteries, mane, chorten, monastery and the historical and archaeological heritage and caves located in Mustang. In Upper Mustang, the palace of the 700-year-old Mustangi cultural king as well as dozens of religious monasteries connected with Guru Padyasambhava has become a center for various researches for tourists.

Lopsang Chomphel Bista, president of Loghekar Damodarkund rural municipality, said that the arrival of domestic and foreign tourists is increasing every year to observe the religious and cultural heritage of Mustang, the lifestyle and the originality of local festivals.
