Himalaya Airlines has started its first commercial flight from Monday connecting Lhasa and Pokhara in China. The Himalayan ship carrying 107 passengers from Lhasa landed at Pokhara International Airport at 1:55 pm on Monday.
Although there were charter flights earlier, Himalaya Airlines started regular commercial flights for the first time after the airport was built. The ship will stay in Pokhara on Monday and fly to Lhasa again on Tuesday morning.
Himalaya Airlines has stated that the flight schedule has been determined to connect Pokhara with Lhasa once a week. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chhan Song, Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendraraj Pandey, Pokhara Metropolitan Chief Dhanraj Acharya, Chief District Officer of Kaski Bharatmani Pandey welcomed the passengers who came from Lhasa.
