The construction work of the model veterinary hospital building under construction in Beas Municipality-3 Damauli is progressing at a slow pace. A building equipped with facilities is going to be constructed to provide services to the veterinary hospital and animal service expert center easily to the poultry farmers.

Center's Information Officer, Animal Development Officer, Dr. Ramnaresh Yadav said that the building, which should have been completed a year ago, is still incomplete.

With the aim of providing quality services in the treatment of animals, the deadline was extended to August after the construction contract that was to be completed last December was not completed. Information Officer Yadav said that the construction company was late and the work could not be completed as per the contract. He said that some construction works are going on after warning that the contract will be terminated if the work is not started.

He said, 'If the current contractor does not work, even if the contract is broken, we had set the goal of building the physical structure of the hospital building, the slope work has been done, now the work of other structures is left.' An agreement was reached to complete the construction of the hospital building at a cost of 49 million 83 thousand at the cost of Gandaki state government.

It is estimated that it will cost 100 million to build and operate the necessary physical infrastructure of the hospital. Parvati Paudel, Accounts Officer of the center informed that the slope work of the two and a half storey building has been completed. Bimal Kharel, site incharge of the construction company informed that the slope work of the hospital building has been completed and other work is left.

According to him, there is an agreement that the construction of the building should be completed by the end of June. He said,   'due to the lack of budget, the work could not be carried forward, the necessary structures have yet to be built in the hospital.' There is a situation in which the necessary physical infrastructure should be built for the service delivery of the hospital building which is under construction in about one and a half plantations. In Pokhara, Kaski, where the construction was started at the same time, services have already been provided from the model hospital.
