48 people have died in Tanahun in nine months due to road accidents. 48 people lost their lives in 44 road accidents till February of the current financial year. 81 people were injured in that accident.

According to District Traffic Police Chief Krishna Bahadur Chand, 24 men, 20 women and four children died in the accident. There were no deaths in July of the current year, 29 in August, four in October, two in October, one in November, two in January,  Eight people died in January, one in February and one more person died within 10th of Chait. During the same period,

has collected revenue of Rs 2 crore 340 thousand 500 from 24 thousand 641 vehicles violating traffic rules. The office took action against trucks, tippers, buses, jeeps, motorcycles, scooters and other vehicles that violated the rules and collected the amount.

He informed that speeding vehicles are being monitored and action is being taken from time to time through radar guns. He said that since the Muglin-Pokhara road is being expanded, security personnel have made every effort to reduce the risk of accidents.
