The deadline has been extended by 7 days to investigate the person who hit the ward president of Pokhara Metropolitan City-21 with a rod.

Last Saturday, local 69-year-old Bhupendra Giri hit the ward president Deepak Subedi, who had come to stop encroachment on public land, with a rod. The district administration office has detained Giri in the case of indecent behavior and gave them 7 days to investigate on Monday, according to the district police office Kaski.   

Ward Police Office Baidam contacted Giri on Sunday after the complaint of Ward President Subedi. After appearing in the office on Sunday, the police arrested him.  In sub-section 2 of section 118 of the Civil Crimes Code, 2074, there is a provision that a person who behaves indecently can be imprisoned for up to 1 year and fined up to 10,000 rupees.
