4 employees of Byas Municipality of Tanahun have been suspended. The regular meeting of the municipality held on Wednesday suspended 4 employees, including Alep Officer Kumarkanchan GC, Sanitation Branch Officer Krishnaraj Ghimire.

They have been suspended on the charge of using profanity against the people's representative and the chief administrative officer of the municipality. Mayor Vaikunth Neupane said that the decision was approved by the executive meeting held on Wednesday after the Chief Administrative Officer was asked for a 7-day explanation related to the purchase of land for the Sanitation Center.

The chief administrative officer was instructed to suspend those employees until the investigation process is completed and the additional facilities given to the employees who were asked for an explanation for the investigation have been cut and all the committees and sub-committees appointed by the executive have been removed from their responsibilities, according to City Chief Neupane.

After it was revealed that the municipal employees had tampered with the land that was going to be purchased in Byas-13 for waste management, those employees were asked for an explanation. It has been decided to submit the received explanations of the employees who have been asked for clarifications in the meeting to be held on February 26th at 8 am.
