In Madhya Bindu Provincial Hospital of East Nawalparasi, there is a problem in service delivery due to the lack of necessary manpower according to the volume of patients. Established in the year 2065, 300 to 400 patients come for treatment every day.

After the introduction of health insurance, the number of patients has increased, but the government has not upgraded the hospital according to the number of patients, so there has been a problem in service delivery.

The hospital established by Dhandhanyanchal Mahayagyna lacks physical infrastructure and has 31 staff and 25 human resources are working in the hospital. Due to the increase in the number of patients, the Hospital Development Committee has had to recruit 135 health workers, employees and doctors on contract and provide services. It was informed in the press conference organized by the hospital on Monday that despite the lack of land ownership, upgrading of the hospital and lack of staff, it is providing services to the patients.

"The pressure of patients is high, we have been providing treatment services by keeping health workers on contract," said Balkrishna Ghimire, chairman of the hospital development committee, "if we provide manpower by upgrading the land and upgrading the hospital to 100 beds, the compulsion to go outside the district for treatment would be removed." The medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Ramesh Prasad Acharya said .

'Patient pressure is high . Even though the new building is in the construction phase, the service has to be operated from the old building, he said, "The service delivery will be increased according to the need, but there is a problem due to the lack of health workers and other structures and equipment."

After the approval of 50 beds, it is ready to operate with a capacity of 100 beds . After the hospital building became narrow and old, the new building constructed at a cost of 19 crores by an NGO called Hatcher and 11 crores by the state government is being inaugurated on February 28. Since the construction of the ground floor and one upper floor has been completed, it is now planned to operate the service from the new building .
