In Kawasoti Municipality, the stench has increased due to non-collection of garbage for two weeks. After the garbage was not picked up, the locals started burning it in chok chok. This has increased the pollution.
Dumping site Due to the dispute, the garbage in the market area could not be picked up . Earlier, after the consumer committee blocked the dumping of garbage in the Ankur Adarsh community forest area, the garbage is piling up in the market. Lok Bahadur Thapa, president of
forest, said that the municipality was not allowed to throw garbage because the municipality did not work according to the agreement between the municipality and the community forest. Even after 5 years, the composting process has not started. Garbage was not even classified,' he said.
Leelaraj Paudel, chief administrative officer of Kawasoti municipality, told that there was a problem due to non-implementation of the agreement between Ankur Community Forest and the municipality 5 years ago. He says that efforts are being made to arrange garbage disposal by digging holes in the community forest.
