A community meditation center has been established at Malika Rural Municipality-7 Prabhuchela Dhuri. Prabhuchela, where sages gained knowledge through penance in the ancient times, has developed as a center that is considered useful for stress management, mental and physical health.
President of Prabhuchela Dhuri Promotion Society Tika Bahadur Jugjali (Naveen) informed that the infrastructure of the meditation place has been prepared with the help of the Gandaki provincial government and the Bima residents who are in migration.
'In ancient times, sages and sages gained knowledge by doing penance at Prabuchela Dhuri, and the conservation and infrastructure were created after the facts were identified from a study three years ago,' he said, who is also a yoga instructor.
A fence, public toilet, havan kunda and concrete wall have been constructed around the meditation center from the budget of 50 lakhs of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management of Gandaki Province. A round meditation building has been constructed at a cost of 28 lakhs. Chairman Jugjali said that the Bim residents who were in migration helped to make an original roundhouse using local wood and clay.
Secretary of Prabhuchela Meditation Center Management Committee Suraman Garbuja said that after the construction of infrastructure, it is easy for ascetics, devotees and tourists to come here. "Not understanding the religious importance of Prabhuchela, the local residents built a shed for cattle and sheep until a few years ago," he said.
Gandaki Province Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment with the support of 1.5 million, a shelter building with a capacity of 50 people and an 87-meter paved footpath on the uphill road have been constructed. Kuti, Havan Kund and Sadhanasthal have been protected.
Prabhuchela Dhuri was a place of penance for sages until a hundred years ago. Sages used to come from different places in Nepal and India to Prabhuchel, located at the foot of Bimgaon Shir and Malika Dhuri. Kapilananda Swami, the successor of Swargaddhari Mahaprabhu, did penance at this place from 1970 to 1975.
The ruins of the Kuti, Sadhanasthal and Havan Kund built by Kapilananda Swami during penance are still there. Another highlight is being able to view the Dhavalagiri and Gurja snow ranges from Prabuchela Dhuri. With the help of Malika Rural Municipality, Prabuchela Dhuri is connected by road from Sorwang. Various donors have built temples, drinking water and Dhyana Ashram with personal investment.
Chhakprasad Paija has built a temple of Shiva and Deuprasad Jugjali has built a temple of Ganesha. In the memory of late Man Bahadur Thajali Pun and Ratima Pun under the leadership of Ruplal Pun, water pipes, taps and tanks have been constructed. After the construction of the shelter, ascetics, devotees and tourists have been able to take shelter during the night, snow, rain and sun.
