Two people died when a pickup jeep carrying passengers fell down the road. A jeep numbered Lu 3 Ch 5569 fell off the road at 6 pm on Monday near Khare of Badigad Rural Municipality Ward No. 9 of Baglung.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Yadav informed that 75-year-old Khadga Bahadur Kunwar of Nisikhola Rural Municipality Ward No. 7 Cholang and 35-year-old Juna Kandel of Dhorpatan Municipality Ward No. 5 Nathuri died in the incident.

They were taken to Burtiwang Hospital for treatment in a serious condition and died on Tuesday night during the treatment. In the incident, a 63-year-old Tejkumari Budha of Badigad Rural Municipality-8 was sent to Gandaki Hospital Pokhara for further treatment due to head and body injuries.

4 other people were slightly injured in the incident. They are being treated in Burtiwang. The jeep was going from Bhimgithe of Badigad Rural Municipality 7 to Darling Khare of Ward No. 9. After the incident, the police rescued the driver, 23-year-old Himal Gharti, and started investigation. Gharti is also slightly injured.
