77.7 percent progress on eastern section of Prithvi Highway

Under the Muglin-Pokhara road, the road expansion work on the eastern section of Prithvi Highway has achieved 77.7 percent physical progress.

Out of the 41.45 km road in the eastern section, 72.1 km road has been paved. Of that, 34.5 four lane and 3.1 two lane roads have been paved. According to the project, the second (final phase) of the 44 km road has been paved. Bishnu Prasad Pandey, engineer of the eastern section of the project, informed that there are 15.6 four lanes and two lanes of 12.73 km in Soma.

In the first phase, the road was paved six centimeters thick. In the second phase, the road will be paved with a total of 10 cm of 4 cm.
