Victims who saved less than 1 lakh rupees of Image Savings and Credit Cooperatives have started getting their money back. After the time of the case was extended and those who kept the money earned by labor suffered because of not getting their savings back, lawyer Ram Sharma and Co-ordinator of Sahakari Peed Sangharsh Samiti Galkot Manju Sharma Chalise started to refund the money to the savers who have less than 1 lakh rupees.

Among the whistleblowers who opposed the president of Image Cooperative, Dev Kumar Nepali in the fraud case, 547 savers reconciled and the refund process started. On the basis of this reconciliation, under the leadership of Ram Sharma, a Nepalese legal practitioner, and Manju Sharma Chalise, president of the Cooperative Oppressed Struggle Committee, Galkot, the savings have been returned. Sharma said that Meena Group Company Pvt Ltd has provided loan amount for the time being. He said that 268 people, including 92 from Burtiwang and 176 from Galkot, have received their savings back.

In the first stage, they have reconciled by saying that they got the amount equal to 23,75,42,340 rupees. Accordingly, in the first phase, Rs 2 crore has been returned. "After returning the savings to the small savers in the first phase, there is a plan to return up to 10 lakh rupees in the second phase," said Sharma, "for that, discussions are underway on how to convert the immovable assets in the name of Nepalis into liquid funds." She said that since some assets need crores of money to sell immediately, the group is ready to collect the funds and return them to the savers.

Urmila Kami of Galkot said that after getting back the savings, she was able to raise household expenses. Urmila said, "I had saved the amount I paid for my daughter's tea, but after all this time I got it back," Urmila said. Amrit Paria of Galkot said he got 46 thousand 900 rupees, Guma Damai got 57 thousand 360 rupees.

Baglung District Judge Rameshkant Adhikari's bench ordered a partial reconciliation on December 19. It is mentioned in the order that 547 persons, including the victims Tara Bahadur Kunwar, Manju Sharma Chalise and Yam Bahadur Kunwar, submitted an application for settlement under Section 117 of the Civil Criminal Code 2074, and settlement was made under Section 118 (3). "This decision has reduced the burden of the opposition, the case is not over," said Public Prosecutor Purna Prasad Sharma, "If the victim gets the money, it will also send a good message." On May 6, after putting up a notice that the office was closed due to lack of liquidity in the office of Image Savings and Loan Cooperative, the savers sought help from the district administration, police and other concerned agencies, claiming that their money was defrauded. After collecting the complaints of the victims and investigating the district police, the public prosecutor's office filed a case against Nepali on June 25, 2080. A red corner notice was issued against Nepali in January 2080.

In the first week of October, he was arrested from New Delhi, India and brought to Nepal and brought to Nepali District Court, Baglung. The District Public Prosecutor's Office, Baglung, filed a cooperative fraud case against 10 people including Nepali on 31 June 2080 based on the complaint of Tara Bahadur Kunwar and other victims. The order of July 4, 2080 also sent the directors and employees who were found to be Nepali fugitives to prison for pre-trial detention.

Co-operative owners Chitra Bahadur Bhandari, Narmati Budha, Shakti Kisan, Dor Bahadur Periyar and Anita Budhamgar are also on trial in this case. Om Prasad Darji was released on bail in the same case. In the complaint, it was demanded to get compensation equal to the amount embezzled according to subsection 1 of section 124 of the said Act, as they committed the offenses mentioned in 'D', 'E', 'F', 'C', 'J' and 'T' of Section 122 of the Cooperative Act 2074 and jail sentence in the case of fraud. Lawyer Ram Sharma said that this reconciliation will reduce the said amount by 230.75 million bigos.

Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Subedi and Superintendent of Police Rishiram Kandel gathered the victims and facilitated the environment to get their money back. Sharma said that it is possible to return the money of all the savers if the houses in the name of Nepalis can be sold. The Nepalese have also promised to return all the money from the prison through lawyers.
