Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, head of Annapurna Conservation Area project area Manang, said that the fire could not be controlled because of the dry season. He said, 'There are fires every year in the conservation area. During the dry season, there is also a fire due to the dry stumps in the forest.'

Chief Bhujel said that there is also fear that the fire may increase due to the wood and leaf litter. He said, 'Dry and windy weather can also increase the fire.' Bhujel informed that there is a forest fire in an area of ​​about one and a half hectares till Monday. According to him, there is an increased risk of destruction of wild potatoes, laudsalla, jatamsi, Panchaunle, Guchi mushroom and other herbs due to fire. 

'Due to fire, it affects the habitat of birds and wild animals. There is a possibility that the grazing areas of birds, wild animals and yaks will be destroyed,' said Bhujel, the head of the office. According to him, there have been fires in Mansiraita Lake, Ice Lake, Pisang Bhir this year.

The fire that started on November 2, 2077 was brought under control only after two months. which destroyed 1,200 hectares of forest in Manang.
