The foundation day of Gandaki State Assembly and Gandaki State Government will be celebrated on the same day. Earlier, Gandaki State Assembly on January 22 and State Government Establishment Day on February 4 were celebrated separately. This time, it has been decided to celebrate the day on the same day, according to the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.

The first meeting of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly was held on 22 January 2074. The same day was celebrated as the foundation day by the provincial assembly. Founder Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung took oath on 4th February 2074. The first meeting of the Council of Ministers was also held on the same day.

The provincial government had been celebrating that day as the foundation day. On the occasion of the Foundation Day, the government had been giving a public holiday throughout the state on February 4. The holiday has also been reduced from this time.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey, it has been decided to celebrate Gandaki State Day on January 22, according to the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pandey on Saturday regarding the celebration of State Day. The

meeting has formed a 5-member committee under the coordination of Chief Secretary Raghuram Bista. State chief Dilliraj Bhatt will address the State Day celebrated in the premises of the State Assembly.
