A fire broke out at the house of a local Keshav Adhikari at Bandipur rural municipality-1 Dumrebazar in the district, and 50 muri of paddy were burnt. According to the District Police Office, the damage was caused by a fire on Wednesday morning.
As soon as the fire was reported on the fifth floor of the concrete house, the fire was brought under control in about 40 minutes with the help of 36 police personnel and locals including police inspectors from the area police office Abu Khaireni, area police office Bhanu and police station Dumre Tanahun.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa said that 50 muri of paddy, old wooden leaves and windows and tin roofs were destroyed in the fire. According to the District Police Office, further investigation is being conducted regarding how the fire happened.
