More than 10,000 foreign tourists have visited Manaslu region of North Gorkha in a year. Conservation Officer and Information Officer of Manaslu Conservation Area Project Office (MCAP) Bhuvanraj Ojha informed that 10,605 foreign tourists visited Manaslu area in 2024.

 

He said that compared to the previous year in 2023, 1,428 more foreign tourists visited Manaslu region last year. 'Last year nine thousand one hundred seventy seven  "Foreign tourists visited Manaslu area," he said, "Last year, the most foreign tourists visited Manaslu."

According to him, the number of foreign tourists from third countries is increasing more than those from the South Asian Regional Cooperation Organization (SAARC) countries. In 2024, the highest number of 1,335 foreign tourists from France has been found to have visited Manaslu region.

"Among the foreign tourists who visited Manaslu last year, there are 1,181 German citizens and 796 American citizens, according to the data of the office, 159 tourists from SAARC countries have visited Manaslu," said official Ojha. ;

Similarly, foreign tourists from the Netherlands, Germany, UK, Australia, Spain, China and other countries come to visit the Manaslu area. Tourists traveling on the Manaslu footpath can reach Manang by passing the Larkepass while observing the Kulchuman (Kal) Lake, the eighth highest Manaslu Himal in the world, Birendra Lake towards the Nubri Valley .

Similarly, towards Chum Valley, you will be able to see the world's most famous Shrigi Himal, Rajen Monastery and other monasteries. Along with the natural beauty of Manaslu region, tourists also get the opportunity to enjoy the proximity of Himchiutwa, Naur, Ghoral, Damfe, Munal, Chawri.
