Three houses have been destroyed by fire in Syaamchet located in Arughat Rural Municipality-1 Manvu. DSP Indra Prasad Subedi of District Police Office Gorkha said that the houses of local Poorna Bahadur Lama, Wise Lama and Aitsing Lama were burnt down.

He said that the fire has been brought under control. He said that the incident happened when he lit a fire to prepare food on Saturday evening and the corn husks kept nearby caught fire. 

DSP Subedi said that a police team was deployed from Manvu police station at the scene. "The fire has been brought under control with the help of locals and the police," he said. Clothes and food have been destroyed by the fire. 

The exact details of the damage are yet to come, the police said. The local Vipana Lama said that three houses in Laskar were destroyed by fire.
