Lamjung police have arrested 3 members of the same family for kidnapping a 14-year-old girl and taking her to India.
The police arrested 40-year-old Sheikh Situla, his wife and son, who is currently living in Sahaji, Benisahar Municipality-7, Motihari Ghodasan police station Bakulia-5, India.
According to the police, the girl was taken from Bensihar without the knowledge of the family on November 24th around 8 o'clock in the morning and was rescued from the border area of Nepal-India. The police said that the Shaikh family was arrested from that area.
The incident came to light after Sheikh called the girl's mother saying that her son had taken her away. District Police Chief DSP Nishant Srivastava said that in addition to rescuing the girl, 3 people involved in the incident were arrested and brought on Monday and on Tuesday, Lamjung District Court Lamjung extended the deadline of 5 days in the crime case related to kidnapping and body hostage.
According to the police, the Sheikh family was living in Benisihar and working as a sirak dasana. Police sources said that they also bought a mobile phone before bringing the girl to India. The police said that the girl was taken to India after luring her with various temptations and the person involved in the incident was arrested
