5 years after the foundation stone was laid, tree felling has been approved in Kawasoti in East Nawalparasi in the model headquarters construction area. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday approved the cutting of 642 trees at the construction site of the model headquarters.
Bharatpur, an intensive urban and building construction project, has been awarded the contract for the construction of two buildings including the district administration office. Chowdhury Construction Rautahat, which got the building contract, could not proceed with the work due to the lack of tree felling. It is hoped that the construction of the model headquarters, which has been stalled for years, will speed up after getting permission to cut trees.
District Division Forest Office Chief Vasant Keshav Adhikari said that he received the information that the meeting of the Council of Ministers has given permission for tree felling through the Forest Department and he will start the work after receiving the written order of tree felling from the district. In this area, 90 small trees and 552 large trees will be cut down to 642 trees.
