A plane of Sichuan Airlines has landed at Pokhara International Airport with 126 passengers from Chengdu.
On the occasion of the English New Year 2025, the Chinese team was brought to Pokhara by a charter flight to participate in the second international 'Dragon Boat Race' to be held at Phewa Lake on January 14 and 15 organized by Pokhara Metropolis, Chinese Embassy and Dragon Boat Association.
Under the leadership of the Chinese government, the Dragon Boat Festival was held in Nepal for the first time in 2023. Pokhara Airport is completing two years since its opening on January 17. There is no regular international flight from the airport.
The airport office has informed that work is being done to create hope through charter flights. This is the third charter flight of Sichuan . Earlier, seven chartered and three other international flights have been completed from China, Bhutan and India.
