A 37-year-old man living in Malika Rural Municipality and currently camping in Beni Municipality-2 has been arrested on charges of raping a girl. He was arrested for raping an 11-year-old girl studying in a local basic school.

After being taken to Beni Hospital for treatment on Wednesday, the doctor found that the girl was three months pregnant and she was raped. 

The police said that the girl's mother, who was living with the man after her second marriage 5 years ago, raped the girl. The police said that the man was immediately arrested and detained with the approval of the court.

'We also came to know about the incident of rape and impregnation of our jhadkeli daughter. If the girl had not been taken to the hospital for treatment, this incident could have happened secretly,' said Bharat Shrestha, Chief Deputy Inspector of the District Police Office, 'We are investigating the incident further.' On the 12th, she said that she was raped for the first time in Dera and then repeatedly. The police said that the initial statement of the man who was arrested on the charge of rape was believed to be fake and the investigation proceeded accordingly.
