Dengue infection has increased in Gorkha with the change of weather. According to the district health office, dengue infection has been observed in 846 people in the current financial year. 683 people are most infected in Gorkha municipality.

In the last three weeks, there has been a rush of dengue patients in Gorkha Hospital. Siddharth Khanal, medical superintendent of the hospital, said that 5 beds were added due to the increase in the number of patients.

"Now 90 beds are in operation, after the increase in dengue patients, we added 5 beds last week," he said. According to the Health Office, 61 people in Palungtar Municipality, 65 in Arughat Rural Municipality, 12 in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality and 15 in Gandaki Rural Municipality have been confirmed to have dengue.

3/3 people from Ajirkot and Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality, 2/2 people from Bhimsen Thapa and Chumanuvri Rural Municipality have seen dengue infection.
