Today, there are no settlements without roads. Even though the road is unpaved, after reaching the village, motor vehicles ply every day. After the motorable road has been extended to the village, the forest has grown along with the thorns along the narrow road. Goreto, where people and goods once moved, is now deserted.

Even in Dhorpatan area of Baglung, which is considered remote, the road has now reached many places. The white road from Falleghar to Deurali, which was thronged by tourists and devotees a decade ago, has now become a bush. Along with this, hundreds of goretos in the rural areas of the district are being closed.

Bir Bahadur Sunar of Dhorpatan Municipality 9 said that the facility has washed away the old goreto. He says that no one will walk even in the places where the road has closed many places.

Sunar said that the old goreto should be developed as a footpath, saying that the development has overshadowed the path that the ancestors have been walking on. He said that due to the construction of roads indiscriminately in the name of development, the old original heritage including Goretto has been destroyed.

'There were no motor vehicles in our time. There were no such big roads as now. Cars could be seen only after reaching Batauli, Tansen. He used to travel on a narrow road. The roads we used to walk at that time are now closed', Sunar said, 'Somewhere they have been covered by the motorway, somewhere they have become difficult. Those goretos have become useless. If the government could make the old road an organized footpath, it would be easier for visitors from outside.'

Jit Bahadur Gharti of Tamankhola Rural Municipality 1 said that motor vehicles have made people lazy. He says that people who used to walk for hours now try to ride even 10 minutes away.

Gharti said that along with Goretobato, wells, ponds, water springs and intersections were all destroyed by Motorbato. Recalling that earlier they used to use horses and khachadas to transport goods from the market, he said that now they have started transporting them in vehicles.

Gharti says that although Goretobato is connected with the rural lifestyle, its existence has been destroyed by unorganized development. 'The motorway has brought many facilities. Now it takes an hour to reach a place where you have to walk all day. The problem of carrying luggage is over. This has made the habit of walking gone now', he said, 'When we were young, there were only cart paths in the village. If people had to go far, they had to travel on foot. Even going there (downwards) now, you need a car, as the era has changed, the streets of the village have also changed.'
