The Nepali Army has started opening tracks from both sides on the Darchula-Tinkar road section under construction under the Mahakali Corridor. Tracks have been opened from Dumling and Gaga.
The army has started digging the road from Changru Gaga of Byas Rural Municipality-1. Earlier, work was being done only in Dumling, Kalju, Atungati, Tabaku and other places of Ward No. 2 via Tusarpani by Byas Rural Municipality-3.
The construction team of the army has gathered to open the track of Darchula-Tinker 79 km road. Byas Rural Municipality-3 Nasena, which has been entrusted with the construction from Tusarpani, has opened 15.2 kilometers of track so far.
According to Nepali Army spokesperson Gaurav Kumar KC, 13.4 kilometers of road tracks were opened in 2080/081, and two kilometers have been upgraded. In the current financial year, 1.8 kilometers of tracks have been opened and 1.2 kilometers have been upgraded.
Due to lack of budget, the work could not be done quickly. In the current financial year, only 9 crores were received. He informed that the government has arranged an additional five crores after the construction was stopped due to lack of budget.
The Army has mobilized for the construction of a camp in Byas Rural Municipality-1 Changru from the last received budget, and the transportation of essential equipment and other construction materials including excavators, compressor machines, gelatin.

Hitesh Budhatho, a ward member of Tinkar of Vyas rural municipality-1, expressed his happiness that the work has started from both sides even though it was delayed. He emphasized that there should be sufficient budget. Ashok Singh Bohra, the president of the said ward, also has the same demand. He said that the five crore received last February was insufficient. He said that this road should be built by allocating sufficient budget with priority.
Meanwhile, on the 22nd of Baisakh, a team led by former minister Ganesh Singh Thagunna met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and demanded that at least 500 crores should be allocated for the Tusarpani-Tinker road.
