Rolpa district has been declared as a full immunization coverage and sustainability district. Rolpa was announced on Saturday under the initiative of the District Coordination Committee as vaccination was ensured at 10 local levels.
It has been promised in the announcement program that all levels will start regular initiatives for ensuring complete vaccination and sustainability. Durga Lakshmi Shrestha, President of Lumbini Province Vaccination Coordinating Committee, announced that Rolpa has been fully vaccinated and sustainability certified.
President of District Vaccination Coordinating Committee and Head of District Coordinating Committee Rolpa Sita Acharya said that the full vaccination assurance and sustainability program has been announced by conducting various programs at all 10 levels of the district. It was she who handed over the certificate of complete vaccination assurance to Sita Kavar, Acting Head of the Health Office. In the financial year 2080/081, it was ensured that all the children in the district were fully vaccinated. According to the health office, all children in Rolpa have received all types of vaccinations according to the national vaccination schedule. There are 4 thousand 847 children under 15 months in
district. They have all been vaccinated. Similarly, there are 14,303 children aged 16 to 59 months. They have also received the vaccine. Similarly, 12 thousand 802 women were given HPV vaccine against cervical cancer. For this campaign, 220 vaccination centers were fixed in the district and the vaccination service is continuously running at 224 locations every month.
According to the government's policy, Rolpa was declared as a district with complete vaccination coverage for the first time on 25th January 2075. In Nepal, the government introduced the concept of making vaccination services effective and announcing full vaccination from 2067.
