Construction of Chatra-Moolghat-Ganeshchowk road has been started under the Tamor Corridor, which was built as a fast route to connect the Himalayan districts from Terai to Hills.
The 155-kilometer long road has been paved from Wednesday in Falametar section of Dhankuta. In the first phase, from Ganeshchowk in Panchthar to Moolghat in Dhankuta, the process was started from last year to cover 112 km.
Although the government did not provide enough budget, the black paper work was not started . This year, under construction under the project, the black-paved work of the Falametar-Kushetar road section of Dhankuta has started .

At present, the construction of drains on 44 kilometers of the road has been completed and the project will be able to complete the black sheet work up to Fidim within the specified time . This road is considered as the economic and strategic importance of the eastern hills. Head of Tamor Corridor Road Project Pradeep Niraula said that Rautaha Kshamadevi JV and Apex Company have signed a contract in two sections by spending 4.16 billion in Tamor Corridor.
According to the contract agreement in two packages, Rautaha Kshamadevi JV has signed a contract for 2.40 billion from Moolghat to Hangtuwa for 66 km and the remaining part has been signed by FX Company for 1.24 billion. Regular traffic is also being operated from Mulghat on the road to Panchthar and Taplejung.
The government brought this road concept to establish not only the eastern hills and the federal capital Kathmandu but also the border areas of India and China as a fast route.
