Voting is not just about stamping an election symbol and sending someone to victory. It is a decision you make about how you will shape your future and that of your children.

Respected sisters and brothers,
Hello!
Today, I would like to share some things with you at a special time.
Our country has once again reached an important turning point in history.
On the coming Falgun 21st, we will decide the future of ourselves and our country.
But, before that, our cultural festival Holi, or Fagu Purnima, has arrived. Both this celebration of colors and this preparation for the election are equally meaningful for us.
You all remember the time when I assumed this responsibility.
The situation after the Gen-G movement was complex, sensitive and challenging. There was anger among the youth on the streets, fear was in everyone's mind, and the future of the country was uncertain.
Our first duty was to manage that difficult transition, lead the country from the violent phase to a peaceful exit, and return it to the path of the constitution.
Today, I am satisfied that we have come this far after overcoming that difficult transition. We have succeeded in establishing the rule of law and moving forward with stability on the path of the constitution. This achievement is the result of the restraint and cooperation of you and all the Nepali people.
Now my first request is to you voters:
To move the country forward on the path of political stability and prosperity, all voters should participate in the upcoming elections.
Voting is not just about stamping an election symbol and sending someone to win. It is a decision you make about how you will shape the future of yourself and your children.
Therefore, I sincerely appeal to you to go to your polling station on Thursday, February 21, even if it means leaving other work behind.
Second, I request everyone to maintain peace and harmony during this election season. Peace is the true identity of Nepal.
There is healthy competition in elections, there are different opinions, but there should be no misunderstandings and animosity between us.
I would like to thank all the political parties and independent candidates in the election field for their candidacies. Our democracy will survive only with your active participation.
I also urge all political parties, candidates and supporters to observe complete discipline during the silent period and to campaign for the election in a restrained manner and with respect for each other in the remaining time before that.
I would like to express my special gratitude to the Election Commission, friends from the security agencies and all civil servants who have been deployed in this great task. Your impartiality and hard work will make this election fair, free and fearless.
The Election Commission has completed all preparations as per the schedule in a short and difficult time. The Government of Nepal and the Commission are fully committed to conducting the election in a fair, clean and fearless manner.
The provincial and local governments have provided significant support in the election preparations within their borders. All four security mechanisms of the Government of Nepal have mobilized all their resources to ensure that there is no deficiency in election security.
I personally and the current government express my heartfelt gratitude for the parental support provided by the Honorable President.
Nepal has received encouraging support and feedback from friendly countries and international organizations for managing the elections in a short time.
I would like to thank the friendly countries that provided material, cash and technical assistance in the election management. We are also grateful for the support received from the United Nations agencies.
I would also like to inform you that the government is keeping an eye on the elements that try to tarnish the environment by spreading untrue and artificial content and misleading predictions through some means of social media and mass media and bringing them under the purview of the law.
I also humbly request all the countrymen not to fall into such confusion, not to follow such elements and to responsibly fulfill the historical responsibility that has come before the country.
Another thing I would like to assure all the countrymen today is that this government will not promote any kind of impunity in the country. The government will not back down from any level of action that must be taken in accordance with the law.
Third, about our celebration.
We are celebrating Holi, or Phagu Purnima, on the eve of the elections. On this auspicious occasion, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad.
This festival of colors sends a message of unity, harmony and enthusiasm. It strengthens the diversity in our society.
May the colors of the election and the colors of Holi together bring new enthusiasm to the country.
However, I urge you to exercise restraint while celebrating Holi and not wear colors against anyone's wishes.
Fourthly - A serious issue.
Today, in another corner of the world, the crisis of war has deepened in the Middle East. The tension in and around Iran has worried us.
The Government of Nepal is closely monitoring the developing developments. The safety of our Nepali brothers, sisters and youth living there is a matter of great concern to us.
All Nepali missions in the region have been activated to ensure that there is no lapse in security facilitation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring.
We are with you all the time. This government is committed to protecting the personal security and welfare of every Nepali citizen, wherever they may be.
Finally, I have taken it as my responsibility to my motherland to lead the country by assuming the responsibility of the Prime Minister at this difficult juncture in history.
I have always tried to stand up for justice and integrity. In a few days, the reins of this country will pass to the representatives you elect.
Come, let us share the joy of Holi. Let us make the elections on Falgun 21 peaceful, clean and historic.
