The jetboat of Tamakoshi Marine Adventure Pvt. Ltd., which was swept away by the sudden increase in the river flow in the Tamakoshi River in Manthali, the headquarters of Ramechhap, has been pulled out of the river after about 12 hours.
The jetboat kept by the company on the river bank was swept away by the sudden increase in the flow at around 5 am on Friday morning. During the search, the jetboat was found submerged in the river 8 kilometers below Rajgaun, Khandadevi Rural Municipality-4. After a day-long effort, a 9-member diving team deployed from the Armed Police Force's Disaster Management Khurkot and locals with the help of an excavator pulled the jetboat out of the river and brought it to the shore on Friday evening.
According to Sagarhari Adhikari, the operator of the company, the jetboat that was safely placed was swept away after the river flow unexpectedly increased in the morning. Tamakoshi Marine Adventure Pvt. Ltd. has been operating a tourist jetboat service on the Tamakoshi River for about a year.
