Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma has said that the party is currently moving forward with a policy of 'breaking factions and building a party'. Addressing the Bagmati Province-level gathering, he explained that responsibilities are being given to those who did not participate in the special general convention, explaining it as a sign of party unity.

'If responsibilities are given only to those who participated in the special general convention, division will be strengthened,' he said, 'However, responsibilities are being gradually given to those who did not participate in the special convention, and more will be included. This is the way to break factions and build a party.'

Vice President Sharma also questioned the tendency to spread distrust within the party. He said that while General Secretary Gagan Thapa can be suspected, the local level party leadership should not be distrusted. 'Don't trust Gagan Thapa, it's fine,' he said, 'but trust the party president of your own ward.' The active membership renewal will not be done by Gagan Thapa, but by the party president of the ward in each ward.'

He urged not to have unnecessary doubts about the active membership renewal process as it will be carried out through the leadership of the ward, municipality and district levels. 'The one who will renew it is the ward president elected from the 14th general convention. Isn't the same president in the municipality also, the same district president?' Sharma opined that we should trust the legal structure of the organization.
