The Bagmati Province government has decided to recommend to the provincial chief to end the winter session of the provincial assembly.
Thursday's cabinet meeting decided to recommend to the provincial chief Deepak Prasad Devkota to end the session from 12 midnight on Jestha 1. According to Article 183 of the Constitution of Nepal, the provincial chief can end the provincial assembly session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
According to the provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang, the decision to end the session has been made keeping in mind the upcoming policies and programs, budget preparation and administrative management. A total of four meetings were held in the winter session called on Chaitra 24, 2082.
Similarly, the cabinet has also decided to approve the Provincial Civil Service Regulations, 2083. Although the Provincial Civil Service Act, 2079 was issued, there were problems in employee management and service operation due to the lack of regulations. Minister Tamang said that with the approval of the regulations, the arrangements related to appointments, transfers, promotions, service facilities and discipline will be more systematic.
The meeting also decided to relocate the health training center operating in Kavrepalanchok to Hetauda. The government believes that service delivery will be effective by conducting health-related training and administrative work from the permanent capital of the province.
It has been decided to send the bill on the amendment of the Environmental Protection Act and the bill on the amendment of the Province Higher Education Act, 2078 BS to a committee of the Council of Ministers, informed government spokesperson Tamang.
