The historic Ghatu dance and grass song competition organized by the remote Kailash rural municipality of Makawanpur with the aim of promoting traditional culture has been completed. Along with the Ghatu dance festival, a grass song and Tamang Phapre Hwai competition were also held in Kailash-2 Baikuntha.

Ghatu dance, which is mainly celebrated by the Gurung community, has recently started being celebrated by the Tamang and Magar communities. The Ghatu dance festival is celebrated every year in Baikuntha. Girls dance in the Ghatu dance, which is associated with mutual dance. Before the dance begins, permission is sought after performing puja. Once the dance begins, it continues for a certain period of time.

18 groups participated in the Ghatu song competition.
