The ward office of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-5 has shifted to its own building on the first day of the new year, Baisakh 1. Earlier, the ward office was operating in a rented house due to lack of a building.

The newly constructed ward office building, built on one and a half kaththa of land in Raitol, was inaugurated by the mayor of the sub-metropolitan city, Meena Kumari Lama, on Tuesday.

The 12-room building was constructed at a cost of Rs 1.6 million by the Bagmati Province Government, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City and the ward, Ward Chairman Sushil Ghimire said.

The construction of the building, which began last Magh by the local consumer committee, was completed in Chaitra. Out of the 19 wards of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City, the offices of Wards 2 and 16 are operating in a rented house. Ward 6 is also operating in a house that is half rented. All other ward offices are in their own buildings.
