The Rotary Club has handed over equipment to the ward office of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-6 to control the recently increasing dengue infection.

Rotary Club Hetauda President Pramesh Pradhan said that the equipment was handed over to Ward President Bishnu Dahal. The club has previously distributed similar equipment to Ward 5.  The necessary equipment for mosquito control, fogger machines, protective clothing, and spraying sets, have been handed over.  President Pradhan claimed that these equipment will be effective in controlling mosquitoes.

Stating that the role of the community in dengue control is the most important, he said that it is necessary to continue the work of cleaning the house, preventing water from accumulating, removing water collection in tire-drums, and destroying mosquito breeding grounds.  Ward President Dahal said that coordination of supporting organizations is necessary to make the steps taken by the local level for health more effective.
