BP Highway reopens after 36 hours

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Kavre, informed that traffic on the highway was reopened in both directions from 6 am on Sunday, about 36 hours after it was blocked.

The BP Highway, which was blocked due to heavy rain, has been reopened. The highway was blocked from 6 pm on Friday due to floods and landslides caused by the heavy rain.

Traffic on the highway was reopened from 6 am on Sunday, about 36 hours after the blockage, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kavre. 

According to him, the highway, which was blocked due to floods and landslides, has been reopened with the help of the Road Department, Nepal Police, Traffic Police, Armed Police Force and locals. The police have requested people to travel carefully considering the adverse weather conditions.
