One person died and the driver was injured in a truck accident in Makawanpur's Bakaiya Rural Municipality-11, along the Kanti Lokpath on Wednesday morning.
A truck carrying cleaning materials bearing the number Na 8 Kha 8760, heading from Hetauda to Kathmandu, met with an accident in Ghattepakha, Bakaiya Rural Municipality-11, Makawanpur. Santosh Yadav, 20, of Birgunj Metropolitan City-32, who was riding the truck, died on the spot.
The driver, 33, Krishna Yadav, was injured in the accident. He has been referred to Bharatpur for treatment, informed DSP Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
The truck, which was heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj, met with an accident at around 3 am on Wednesday. The truck lost control and hit an empty house near the road and fell into a ravine about 150 meters below, according to police.
The house hit by the truck belongs to Oman Singh Titung, according to police.
