One person dies after being buried in a landslide in Shivpuri, Nuwakot, excavator driver missing

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bikram Lama, 35-year-old local Fulman Tamang died after being buried in a landslide that fell from above during the expansion of the road section from Maidan in Gaujeni to Lapse.

One person died after being buried in a landslide during road expansion in Gaujeni, Shivapuri Rural Municipality-3, Nuwakot on Wednesday afternoon. A search is underway for another missing person. 

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bikram Lama, 35-year-old Phulman Tamang, a local, died after being buried in a landslide during the expansion of the road section from Maidan in Gaujeni to Lapse. He died on the spot after being buried in the landslide.

Amrit Tamang, a 24-year-old excavator driver from Lalitpur, who was working on the road expansion, is missing after being buried in the landslide. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals have been deployed to search for him. Police said that Tamang had come to Nuwakot to drive an excavator just a few days ago.
