The Bagmati Province Health Ministry has prepared to declare all 13 districts of the province as 'One District, One Healthy City'. Bagmati Province Health Minister Kiran Thapa Magar said that a campaign has been launched to declare one city or municipality in each district as a healthy city.

For this, discussions and orientation have been completed for the heads of public health offices, heads and representatives of district hospitals and other concerned bodies in all 13 districts of the province on preparing the necessary action plan for building a healthy, safe and sustainable city. He directed all concerned to start the necessary preparations as per the orientation.

Minister Thapa Magar said that it has been decided to take forward the 'One District, One Healthy City' campaign to create a health-friendly environment in each district of the province, provide essential health infrastructure, improve the health, hygiene and living standards of the citizens of the district, and provide easy access to health services.

Provincial Health Ministry Secretary Sumitra Gautam said that the campaign is being launched with the aim of making each district a healthy city and making it a healthy citizen by identifying opportunities for effective implementation, achievement evaluation and improvement in the health sector.

She said that a plan has been formulated to make the health sector practical, sustainable and result-oriented with the aim of making Bagmati a model province in the health sector. She said that the goal is to strengthen the overall health system of the province by improving the quality of health services in all 13 districts of the province, expanding access, increasing public awareness and using technology effectively.

Health Secretary Gautam informed that preparations have been started to make the management of the hospital equipment and technology-friendly so that every citizen can easily get treatment in the hospitals of their own district.
