Makawanpur police arrested two youths with 107 kg of marijuana on Monday night. Auto driver Santasingh Lama, 33, of Makawanpur Raksirang Rural Municipality-6, Dhusrang, and Santabir Moktan, 30, of Raksirang Rural Municipality-2, Sunari, Saurah, were arrested in Makawanpur Manahari.
The marijuana was found while the police stopped and checked an auto (B.P.R.03-001 H.2076) coming from the Simpani Devkot inner road towards the East-West Highway in Manahari. After finding marijuana hidden in 10 bags inside the auto, the auto, marijuana, auto driver Lama, and Moktan, who was riding in the auto, were taken into custody, said Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur. The police said that they are conducting further investigation after extending the time limit from the court.
