Election Officer Lamichhane said, 'This time, many votes were invalidated in the direct election in Ramechhap. Swastik was found to be used in two symbols in many votes. This shows that there is still a need for improvement in voter education.' According to the District Election Office, an average of 5.38 percent of votes were invalidated in Ramechhap in the 2079 BS elections.
The district, which has the only House of Representatives constituency, had a total voter population of 187,952. A voter education program was conducted in Ramechhap from Falgun 3 to 17.
