Dr. Krishnahari Budhathoki of the National Independent Party (NISP) won in Ramechhap. Budhathoki secured 24,808 votes, defeating his nearest rival Madhav Prasad Dhungel of the CPN-UML by a margin of 7,199 votes.

In the House of Representatives election held last Thursday, 7 of the candidates in Ramechhap failed to cross the 100-vote mark. In Ramechhap, which has only one House of Representatives constituency, 17 candidates, including 3 independents, were in the fray.
Among them, Binod Ghising of the Mongol National Party and Keshari Shrestha of the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party received 56 votes each. While Yama Bahadur Moktan of the National Republic Nepal received 75 votes, Padam Bahadur Tamang of the Aam Janata Party received only 36 votes.
Similarly, independent candidate Arun Karki received 98 votes, Babukaji Khadka received 22 votes, and Santosh Ghimire received 61 votes.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Ramechhap, the candidates of the 3 parties failed to cross the 200-vote mark. Arjun Bahadur Thapa Magar of the Rastriya Janamorcha received 161 votes, Birendra Shrestha of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party received 115 votes, and Yamun Bahadur Basnet of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) received 156 votes.
Similarly, Gore Tamang of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 543 votes while Dhal Bahadur Khapangi Magar of the Shram Sanskriti Party received 1,336 votes.

According to the final results of the vote counting held on Sunday evening, Budhathoki won by 24,888 votes, defeating his nearest rival Madhav Prasad Dhungel of the CPN-UML by a margin of 7,199 votes. Dhungel received 17,699 votes.
Ramchandra Khadka of the Nepali Congress received 16,377 votes. Similarly, Shyam Kumar Shrestha of the Nepali Communist Party received 13,354 votes while Deep Bahadur Yonjan of the Ujjaj Nepal Party received 7,210 votes.
