The start of the counting of votes under the House of Representatives election in Ramechhap is set to be further delayed. The counting process has been delayed after political parties and candidates demanded an expansion of the space, saying that the counting site was narrow.

Earlier, the counting site was prepared at the Land Revenue Office in Manthali. An all-party meeting held at 9 am on Friday had agreed to start the counting from 11:30 am.

However, the political parties and candidates have demanded an expansion of the space, saying that the space was narrow at the time of the counting. After that, the work of shifting the counting site from the upper floor of the Land Revenue Office to the lower floor is underway, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

It is said that the counting of votes will begin only after the work of managing the site is completed.

A total of 48.26 percent of the votes were cast in Ramechhap district in this election. Out of 187,952 voters in the district, 90,710 people voted.
