The counting of votes for the House of Representatives member election to be held on Thursday will be held at Bhutan Devi Secondary School in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4.

This is the first time that the counting of votes is being held in the Bhutan Devi Secondary School building. Earlier, the counting of votes was being held in Makawanpur Multiple Campus and Siddhartha Secondary School. Chief Electoral Officer Geeta Shrestha said that the counting of votes in both constituencies of Makawanpur district is going to be held in the room of Bhutan Devi Secondary School. Four rooms have been prepared for the counting of votes.

The counting place has been secured with a wire mesh and CCTV has been installed. Arrangements have been made for party representatives to sit outside the wire mesh, said Makawanpur Chief District Officer Basanta Adhikari.

Mobile phones have been banned at the counting place. He informed that arrangements have been made to control any chaotic activities that may occur during the counting. It is said that the counting of votes can be done in four places simultaneously at the counting places of both constituencies. A media center has also been set up in Bhutan Devi School for the media.

According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Makawanpur, employees and security personnel have reached all the polling stations along with the ballot boxes. The employees who reached the concerned polling stations have set up posts and are holding all-party meetings and are working on setting up booths.

The Election Office has also made arrangements for transporting the ballot boxes after the voting. It is estimated that it will take a maximum of four hours to bring the ballot boxes from Bikat Village in Makawanpur to Hetauda. Makawanpur, which has two constituencies, has 167 polling stations. There are 374 polling stations.
